For LONAI’s debut High Spring Summer 24 collection, the London based design team found its inspiration in the California modernism of Slim Aaron’s sun soaked Palm Springs. Think relaxed silhouettes drenched with elegance.Floor skimming dresses that exude understated glamour, bold prints and desert hues. All designed with the heat in mind.
Playing with proportion, a sixties inspired jacquard tunic is layered over loosely flared trousers with a sand and white colour palette.The same trousers look clean and modern alternatively styled with a simple vest and relaxed blazer baring a tropical print in vivid hot fuchsia and scarlet.
Also playing with silhouette, a fluid long line shirt dress looks timelessly elegant worn over super wide trousers, featuring belting and utility detailing.To keep things interesting, a puff sleeve pristine white midi dress adds feminine flair to classic chinos.
Designed for the global traveller,this collection is about statement,detail-driven dresses,interchangeable, ‘clever’ separates and customisable accessories with no singular way to wear them. The beauty and variety is in the styling.The fabric belt is key.
Smart details include a detachable, pleated placket on a long white blouse,abstract embroidery offsetting the unfussy lines of an A-Line skirt with crisp shirt tucked in, or the ankle grazing, waterfall hem of a breezy summer dress. White on white is another big story. Inspired by Gianfranco Ferre’s iconic ‘perfect white shirt’ of the ’90s. There is a capsule of ten all white pieces from poetic artist style smocks to knee skimming, or longer dresses, which can be worn belted or loose.A hero white look is the broderie anglaise tiered dress.
The collection is designed and made in the UK with the exclusive print fabrics produced in Italy.Colourful candy stripes sit alongside muted caramel geometric patterns and bright botanicals. LONAI uses natural fabrics,from breathable cottons to bamboo derived sustainable materials that are kinder to the environment and ideal for warmer weather.
